It's a pretty normal sight to see me sitting with a bunch of lads in a ungodly our at night sipping down a teh ais kurang kurang kurang manis!!! somewhere in KL or in the sad town of Seremban. After so many years of lepaking there, it didn't come to my senses that every person seated around me had a high chance in getting diabetes mellitus due to the food served in that place. Mamaks are for sure creating a diabetic pandemic in Malaysia. Interesting innit? So what in the freagin world is diabetes mellitus?? For the people who are not stuck learning about stuff and serving in a hospital like me... It's better known as Kencing manis. Not sure if they actually quantify as 'Sweet urine'. Definitely something i wouldn't wanna taste...urghh...yucks. In actual fact, the docs of the past used to taste urine when dipsticks weren't in existence yet. Wunder where they got the guts to that.

So why so scared of diabetes lah?? Wait wait... i know u all want to defend the botak head mamak at Old Klang Road. You see, the problem about diabetes is... it's kinda silent lah. You don't really know you have it until some day when you start to feel tired, urine like mad till you feel super dehydrated and feel super thirsty. You might brush it of as some small matter but wait... later on as the years pass, you might start to feel your limbs getting numb and there may be loadsa episodes of pins and needles. You may even feel as if you are walking on cotton. Oooo...how euphoric... NOT!! after that, ulcers may develop on your feet. When that happens, gangrene may develop and then..sob sob..have to cut the leg. Sighs. Worse still, later you may get high blood pressure and later develop a stroke or heart attack. Bad shape dude. Bad shape. So how?? Still want to go mamak everyday or not?? Hehe.
No worries la, can still go mamak but in moderation la. Once in a while still ok. Try not to tani day in day out. Bad shape la, summore make that mamak feller richer by the day.

Why i suddenly talk about diabetes mellitus? Think i dun really have a choice la. Everyday, when i enter the wards or the outpatient clinic, the most common thing case i see is a diabetic case. It's really sad to see people lose their limbs, experience blurred vision or be on lifetime treatment for diabetes. Just imagine injecting yourself with insulin for the rest of your life. It's just bad shape. Not something i wanna see my friends or anyone end up doing. So less mamak, more Futsal!So far, Mr. Lim Hiong Chin a.k.a. Wayne Lim has successfully done it. If a guy like him can do it, anyone can.

As for Mr. Lim Hiong Chin, a snake went into his room 2 days back. Wunder why?? Maybe the snake wanted to watch some porn and got stuck in the air conditioning vent. Bet there's got loadsa porn in there. Hehe. Just jokin. Funny lad.

Aights... so less mamak and teh ais for me now. Back to studyin. Adios!
