Thursday, August 31, 2006 Suspendered After a freagin long day trying to figure out the pathophysiology of a load of respiratory diseases, i've gotta admit that my brain is kinda jammed. As usual, a good way to relieve stress would be to pay a visit to Shi Ching a.k.a Soh Chai's blog to add to the surmounting nonsense already stuck in my head. As usual, this lad who is bound for University of Manchester in a few days somehow always has crazy stuff stuck inside his blog although the blog is kinda dead. This chinaman is going to be a handful to handle for the Brit docs. U never know what's in his crazy fruity-scented head. This time round was something called the lucky underwear test. Either way... Gonna miss u boss!!* (*Disclaimer : I'm not gay and Shi Ching is straight)
Wow, i'm caring and extroverted...etc..i'm amazed!!(Sarcastically) but yes, i'm amazed how an ass can look that good in a blue pair of underpants. Maybe i should consider getting one for myself. Either way, it looks good cos it's a female bum. Hehe. Try the test if you got a few minutes of your life to waste away. Bleh. Monday, August 28, 2006 A car, a religious man and a chinaman Yup, i gotta admit it, sadly, i'm a hard-core car enthusiast who can remember the specifications of most cars on the road better than my medical stuff. I don't know what's with me and cars. I guess it's just that 'boys-toys syndrome' that's got me hooked to those four wheeled beauties on the road. Speaking of which, definitely supercars fascinate me the most but as we grow older, our taste kinda changes and the cars made to define the meaning of luxury do tend to take precedence over the crazy supercars that just make us drool. I'm no doubt a huge BMW fan but if there's one company that really catches my attention, it's gotta be Lexus. Lexus is of course the luxury division of Toyota Motor Corporation which sells wickedly great machines. The latest lineup for 2006 definitely would definitely wet the pants of the directors at BMW and Daimler-Chrysler. Besides the great quality and build of Lexus cars, what catches my eye is the motto of the company which goes : 'Relentless pursuit of perfection'. That simply defines the work etiquette at Lexus in a sentence. Definitely a motto i could use for myself. It surely does justice compared to Proton's 'dare to change-nothing' motto as the Satria Neo still looks like it's predecessor. Okay, i'm not trying to start an anti-Proton campaign but the Lexus motto just propped up as Ps. Judah spoke about this year's YC Camp theme which is themed 'Relentless Pursuit'. I guess it was of impeccable timing that this message was delivered. As Ps. Judah elaborated, the theme basically speaks of having 'Passion with a purpose'. Passion without purpose and purpose without passion can lead to nothing. They both have to be put together in order for things to turn out right. After reading about Samuel, Saul, Daniel and the Seven brothers of Sceva, the meaning of life which has passion with a purpose was so much more clearer. I guess it pretty much applies to my life. Somehow i think i have a little bit of this and a little bit of that but i never have the complete package. In the end, usually things come out imperfect and it's never the finished product which i'd like to have. Sometimes the purpose is there but the passion just fizzles out or vice versa. It's just so tough to keep the 2 of them together. At the end of the day, may God's purpose be served and may He grant me the passion to fulfil the purpose He has set in place for me. For now, it's definitely to finish the journey i have in Medical School. The tunnel is still dark but i know i'll see the light soon as i know i'm approaching the finishing line not too long from now. May God have the final say in my life and may he make me into a complete and finished article perfect in His sight. That's all i really hope for in my own relentless pursuit for perfection. Monday, August 21, 2006 Bling bling I can still remember the days when us lads use to sit like ah bengs in school talking about future careers and the paths that we planned on taking. As the years passed, of course some of us have already reached our destination whereas others like me are still on the journey to reach our goal. In the past year or so, we've already got a pilot, a doc, a sound engineer, an IT analyst and a civil engineer from that group of ah bengs who sat around in that group. In the coming year or two, hopefully there will be another 2 docs, and engineer in the production line. Dreams and aspirations will always be there but the other thing that us lads tend to talk about is cash. No doubt cash is important. But how much can we get with our first job? That also depends on what line we're in. A char kway teow seller can earn as much as RM 10,000 a month if he does super well whereas an Officer in a bank would be limited to RM 3,500 at the most. Should char kway teow hawker been one of my choices when i was asked what my ambitions were back in sekolah rendah?... hmm, probably didn't think char kway teow hawkers made that much. Besides, a friend of mine whose parents where char kway teow'hawkers' told us his parents were 'hookers' thanks to his brilliant Engrish. That alone scared the daylight out of us lads. We vowed not to be char kway teow 'hawkers' after that. :P Sighs... neways. Still another 2 years to go. Dunno why i suddenly think about careers. Adios Monday, August 14, 2006 Well Wishes Exam season is here again... Not for me tough. No one ever likes exams but it's just a formality that all of us have to go through to get ourselves that desired degree that we need to get a freagin job. Today marks the beginning of the mad sem 7 exams which i'll be sitting for in a couple of months time. Just wanna wish all the sem 7 and sem 9 seniors all the best for their exams. May God be with you all. Cheers! Sunday, August 13, 2006 to-'D'-ay Was : Dreaming Dismayed Disillusioned Demoralised Down Denial Deleted Dumb Dead Dyspeptic Drained Depressed Kinda: Delighted Now: Dunno... maybe go read Doraemon Saturday, August 12, 2006 Kamikaze Bomber I've always wondered how the chicken garnered enough guts to cross the road. Sometimes it's the crazy things that you do that really make you think why you even tried to do it. It's like setting off a bomb in your underpants. Once the feat is completed, it's like having the greatest burden on your back taken away with the added effects of an adrenaline rush. But at the same time you just wonder what the consequences or the outcomes will be thanks to that moment of madness. Sometimes things turn out brilliantly awesome while it can also end in massive tragedy. That makes me ponder the foreseable outcome of my crazy actions and if i'll dare try out any more crazy stunts. Talk about wishful thinking. How does it feel like?? Try plucking out your bulu kaki one by one. It's roughly something like that. I wunder... Siao eh Monday, August 07, 2006 Dip-Stick Being Malaysian, i think we're sick enough to do anything just for food. Even my cousin from Canada thinks we're crazy people. There are times when I would actually drive out in the middle of the night just to find a really good Ramly Burger. I think that's still quite ok since a Ramly Burger stall can be found anywhere from a roadside junction to even in front of a public toilet. So far the craziest thing i've done for food was to drive up all the way to Penang just to eat and come back within 24 hours. Sunday's trip down to Melaka for Sate Celup totally rocked. Of course the idea of going all the way down south just to eat sate celup and be back in KL on the same night was kinda outrageous at first but i've definitely got no regrets. Probably go again if i can. The fellowship with Cheryl, Rachel, Karen, Bernard and Chu Yaw just made it all the more fun. Wished life could be that good all the time. As for the week ahead, i've got a fantastically labelled 'break' which is non-existent as i would have to get back to work since i have an upcoming research project to be submitted adding to the fact that i screwed up in the last exam. Wunder when my real hols will actually come. Sighs. I guess that's life as someone in the wunderful world of medicine. What's free time?? I don't know. Is it even existent? Guess not. It's also fast and prayer month. Hopefully i wouldn't give into my flesh and give up too easily. It's been tough so far, having hypoglycemic attacks off and on but i know it's gonna be worth it. Just hoping to see breakthroughs happen around in the remaining part of this year which i believe will come in handy for me and the people around me. Aights, dreaming of sate celup again. Adios! Tuesday, August 01, 2006 Fourseasoned Yeah, i know i'm still dreaming about going abroad someday to hopefully further my studies. People always mention about the weather which can be erratic and crazy overseas but that's exactly what's been happening in Snoozieland for the past few days. On Sunday it was freagin cold, i almost needed a sweater to keep myself warm. Chia Liang probably froze himself to near death as his windows were wide open. Thankfully he had a comforter while i had to depend on my good old bulu kaki to survive the cold climate as i only had my shorts on. Talk about primitive defence mechanisms. Monday's weather was equally weird with some spring like feel. Suddenly the lalang which we destroyed started to grow again in the midst of a brown parched garden. As of today, i guess it's back to the freagin hot 'summer' feel of Snoozieland. Maybe tomorrow will have an autumn like feel.... I doubt it. Guess i've starred out of the window too long. Gotta get back to work. Exam's in a day's time. Arghh! Adios! |
