Finale

The walk up Mount Kinabalu was a good time to reflect back on life. Making my way down alone just allowed me to ponder on the many unanswered questions i still have in life. One of the things i've always asked myself is what will people say about me when i will leave this earth to return home to be with my Father in Heaven. I just hope i've done some good so far in life... i hope.

High on Weed

After 2 freagin months away from Snoozieland, i started to wonder how things would be if i returned. Since i was 'practically' done with Selectives, i decided to drop by my hide-out before heading to the uni to get some stuff done. Before hitting the road, i just thought things would probably be the same back in Snoozieland with the house in good shape.

Safari @ Snoozieland

Well... i wasn't too amused but on arrival, all the work of mowing the lawn in hope of building my biceps seemed to be in vain as i started to smell something very 'fresh'. Speaking of helping the earth become a greener place, my entire garden was filled with weed and lalang. The tallest weeds were as high as 8 feet. Darn. It now looks like i can start a Safari theme park within my compound. Maybe import a few lions and wild pigs. As for snakes, i'm sure there's loadsa room for them.

Should I be an environmentalist and keep the weed marsh or shave everything botak like what i did for my head? I think i got to bring this up at the upcoming Lads General Meeting.

Retrospective space

Ahh... nothing better than reliving the good old times. Just wished that everyday could be like that. I hope and pray that the door will be open someday. Jesus, you know it better than I do. Amen.

Simply surreal

Absolutely wicked

Life is really a wonderful entity. Sometimes it sucks but when it's good, it's really wickedly good. Rarely do i say this but... today, it's really really good. Wicked in fact.

Cheers!

Flooded Traffik

Driving in KL can be quite an experience on its own. You don't have to go all the way to some place like Bangkok or Karachi to experience horrendous traffic. In line with Visit Malaysia Year 2007, we should be proud that we have a horrible track record of traffic problems. If it's not the issue of the Mat Rempits, it's probably some issue with toll prices. We seem to have loads to argue about in terms of roadworks and traffic.

In KL, there's never a day where the roads are clear minus the festive seasons. Now things are more interesting that we're experiencing flash floods right smack in the middle of the city. Talk about global warming and its effects. This further leads to a helter-skelter condition where traffic just goes mad. After waddling through water due flash floods in Masjed Jamek while i was still working in a bank within the vicinity a few years back, i thought it was probably just an isolated area where floods are bound to happen thanks to the overpoluted, druggie swimming pool called Sungai Klang. You can imagine the amount of filth that floats in that foul smelling river. Even the catfish swimming around would have rather committed suicide than to live in such an environment. It's no joke cos from my office desk you can literally see fish jumping out of the water every few minutes gasping for air.

Yesterday, Jalan Sultan Ismail was inundated with water that was waist high. Traffic throughout the city was at a standstill. Seems like even the 'brilliant' SMART tunnel (Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel) isn't as 'smart' as it's supposed to be. It wasn't too long ago that some feller gave an excuse that the tunnel was only ready to take in traffic but the flood mitigation system was still not in place. That makes us ask the question why would they even open the tunnel in the first place if it was only partially done up. Is it safe for public use? I'm not sure how many thousand excuses are there gonna be before some one finally owes up and does something about the situation. At the end of the day, taxpayers money worth billions of ringgit have been poured into this freagin huge world-renown project. Is it worth it? I dunno man. Think we gotta ask the boss himself a.k.a Mr. Semi Value who has every excuse in the book for that question.

Worshipoholic

Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like You have loved me

Break my heart for what breaks Yours
Everything I am for Your kingdom's cause
As i walk from earth into eternity

Words from worship this morning. Simple and yet so meaningful. Worship is emo.

Thank You Jesus for making such a thing as worship. Amen.

Blitzkrieg

It's always great to wake up feeling refreshed in anticipation of what is hopefully gonna be another great day ahead. Days with goals are always great days as you can always work towards achieving something and making yourself hopefully better person. Goals can be many things, it can be something you've been hoping for, something you've been wanting to achieve, a wish or even a little gesture of watering your neighbour's garden. It can be a blessing but it can also be something devastating in disguise.

Different goals bear different significance. Some are trivial whereas others mean a whole lot more. Despite knowing that some goals are pretty hard to achieve, sometimes the human mind just keeps driving on on even when it's unlikely that we will reach that final destination. It's pretty much how powerful this mind that God has blessed us with can be if we harness its capabilities to full effect. At times it can be bad in a sense that we place our utmost dependency on it and stop relying on God who is the real source of our strength.

Waking up this morning was really unlike any other morning. Knowing about what the mind can do and living in denial just made life more difficult but despite all that, the most difficult part was learning to let go and let God lead the way when everything seemed almost impossible. I knew that pursuing the matter further would only make things worse and would be of no benefit to me even though i really wished i could have at least seen a beautiful ending to my journey. I hope that by surrendering it all to God, God would paint a much more beautiful portrait than what i've hoped for.

Just when everything including the freagin ceiling looks as if its gonna collapse on my rather lousy day, there's only one bunch of people who can make it sound more like a joke than a serious matter. I'm still not quite sure where they got the rather outrageous name from but it seems they have mellowed down and are now better known as the TTDI Tigers, previously of the Ku Ku Bird Klan fame. I think probably one the member's family member must have logged on to the blog and disapprove of the previous name. As insane as they sound, these are the lads i grew up with and i'm proud to have friends like them.

TTDI Tigers (I'm not in the photo... MIA)

Despite all the mad stuff done, i think we pretty much abided but some clear principles, one of which probably sounds mad for a bunch of gobloks like us. Respect your father and mother. Father, mother all dun play, other than that all ok. We all muhibbah at all times although sometimes some inter-racial (MCA vs MIC vs UMNO)warfare does occur. Else than that, i think we probably violated every darn law there is in the Federal Constitution. Career wise, i think we faired pretty decently. We've got a good number of engineers, IT experts, a pilot, a chef, a movie producer and two 3/4 baked docs. Not badlar for a bunch of lads who still kick the football into the monsoon drain at the Burhan Field and later come out with ingenius ways of retrieving the ball only to start a football game with small kids with the intention of scaring the daylights out of them. Aights... that was bullcrap. Wanna know more about the TTDI Tigers, just click here.

Aights. Back to solitude and surrender. Peace out.

Independiante

It really feels weird when you get asked the same question umpteen times by different people within the same day. First by friends and next by family members. If it's not the same day, it's been a regular question throughout the entire year. What's the question la? Everyone is asking me when i'm gonna graduate and get a job. Kena sabar la. If I was studying the art of DVD and VCD selling, I can graduate from the PMS (Pirate Marketing School) in 1 day. No sweat, but of course i'm not. The answer to the question is.... God willing approximately one more year. Wunder if there's a medical school which offers a course shorter than 4 years. Hmm.

Shattered

Friends: care, respect each other, are honest, understand, listen, help, are there for each other, give hope, forgive, are a shoulder to cry on, are the ones you trust, are patient, go the extra mile, are a necessity in life, people you confide with, cheer you up, sacrifice, complete ones life...... etc.

Where are they when you them most? I have no idea.
