Firewerks!!

Ah yes... its back to the time of the year where the police are back in action for their annual ops and people make a beeline back to their hometowns to join in the festivities. It's also the time where random blood sugar levels skyrocket to hit diabetic levels and lipid levels increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. With fireworks flying all over the place, there's bound to be some pak cik who will make noise once his cow shed catches on fire. Aights... that's really exaggerated. All in all, Raya has always been a great time to catch up with my pals. A time to celebrate after a month of fasting. I'd like to wish all my Muslim pals Selamat Hari Raya!! Cheers!!

Standstill

Sometimes sitting in a hospital corridor bench can really be an emotional roller coaster. As the trolleys pass and patients are wheeled in an out of the operation theatre, thoughts just bombard in and out of the mind like kamikaze pilots crashing to the ground. Despite wandering in the wards for almost 2 years now, the past week has brought the ward experience to a more surreal level. Something i don't think i'll be able to describe in written terms.

With all that's been going on within the past week, it feels as if time stood still. It's been pure torture. Sometimes feeling absolutely lost with no direction only pushes you to cry out to God asking him for direction as to what you should do. I do believe that it is during the darkest hour in the deepest trials that God speaks to us and leads us out of our problems hand in hand, pretty much like what Jesus showed Simon Peter in the gospel of Luke 5. It's probably this crazy fact that makes me a follower of Christ today.

It's a blessing to have really great friends who stick by you thru the ups and downs that you go thru. I've especially gotta thank people like YK, HL, Dawson, Chee Wing, Audrey, Jenny, Hanisyam, Val, Isaac and Rose. I guess without them, things wouldn't have been as bright as they are. Great people for sure.

Hopefully i'll find the answers to the many questions i have in the deep end. I don't know how long i'll hang on but may God grant me His strength and may He lead the way.
