Bling Bling

Xin nian kuai le! Gong hei fatt choy !... Bla bla bla. At times it can get really irritating when there are so many people wishing one another in a single spot at the same time especially at some chinese restaurant during a reunion meal. It usually annoys the daylight out of me and my cousins. Somehow this year, something caught my eye. Oklar, it's not some hot chick but some uncle with old school "GRILLZ" in his teeth a.k.a gold fillings. Aights, it's not that i've never seen them before. It's just that this time, fuh... it's truely chinaman bling bling.

So... as it seems, the older lads in my family told me that those gold nuggets stuck in elderly people's mouths were actually sorta fashionable back in their time. At first me and my cousins laughed till our teeth nearly came off when we heard about that. It really sounds ridiculous. But then again, those were the days of psycho stuff. It even seems that the gold stuck on the teeth was worth just as much as the gold you would buy at some jeweller. Strange facts.

Well... that sorta whacky fashion happened way back then. I would have expected that people of our time would probably have a better sense of fashion than to stuff gold nuggets in their mouths. But guess what? the people who introduced us to the world of bling bling and chrome spinners have done 'it' again. This time they're getting gold and gems into their mouths and calling them 'GRILLZ'. They even wrote a freaking song as a tribute to it named 'GRILLZ' as well. What the.....?? Okies, at least this time the song talks about 'Grillz' rather than 'Girlz' all the time. So that's a good direction in some way. I gotta give it to the African-Americans for setting their creative thiking. They're nuts.

Grillz a.k.a gold teeth. Stuff of the bling-bling sickos

So what about Grillz as you may ask? Basically they're just like those mouth pieces that boxers wear for protection, only that these ones are made of gold studded with gems instead of rubber or something like that. Designs vary and it's customisable. As for the price, it can set you back as much as USD $200 per tooth. That's wicked sick. I could use that to support a child in Africa for half a year and it's just one freagin tooth. Anyways, if u are crazy and think you need a set of gold denchers, you can find out more about these crazy plug-ins at this SITE.

Aights, i've crapped enough about gold teeth. Gonna get some sleep now. Hope i don't dream about them gold ingots. Cheers!

Furniture n garbage bins

"Do i need really need that chair? Nah.. don't think so. But then again, it might come in handy if i were to sit for long hours while i study. Nah.. not necessarily. Bah.. just buy it."

"There comes the study desk. Hmm. Think it's a necessity. Defintely buying it."

"Next comes the garbage bin. It's ugly. It's empty and i don't think i need another one. But i think i need it. Just buy it."

Furniture, furniture.. Yups, it's another trip to IKEA again today. It's hard to decide when you are spoilt for choice especially when u land yourself up in a place like IKEA a.k.a Furniture heaven. I've got to admit, the place has got loadsa great stuff. Eye catching designs with great colour combinations. Sometimes you just feel like buying the entire place cos it just looks so cool to have the stuff in it.

While aimlessly walking around. I ended up in the area where they displayed the garbage bins. I really have no idea why i spent so much time just staring at an area packed with garbage bins. I can't hide the fact that the colours were brilliant though the designs were just the plain old simple garbage designs. Definitely eye-catching. But if u really think of it, at the end of the day, it's still a garbage bin and its purpose is to contain garbage which will hopefully be discarded later. The grabage bin may look really good on the outside but inside, it will still be filled with trash. It may sound really philosophical but i hope i'll not end up being like the trash in the garbage bin or being like a garbage bin myself. Just a thought...
