The StrokesWhat the heck is a stroke??? From a medical dictionary, it's a focal neurological defect that lasts for more than 24 hours. From a rocker's dictionary, it's a badn consisting of 5 gobloks who play good music. From Hiong Chin's point of view, it's the act of caressing a part of the human anatomy. There's just too many different explanations for this freagin small word. Wunder...
While reading some stuff about music, suddenly only thought about The Strokes today. Till this day i'm still wondering why they actually decided to call themselves The Strokes. If it was Jenson a.k.a Prof M, he would probably explain it in a medical point of view that The Strokes called themselves The Strokes because these 5 lads had previous cerebrovascular accidents before this and recovered enough to be able to sing in a band hence naming themselves The Strokes. An explanation that doesn't really help much.
Today my research group had to meet up again to discuss about our research on STROKE since our research has been rather dormant of late. As far as i'm concerned, we've pretty much got our figures and facts together with some literature reviews done. One of the things we didn't have was a title for our research project. Weird innit? Want to do research but got no title. To make it even funnier, it's already been 5 weeks since we started working on this research. It's amazing how we've been rather blindly doing research without any sense of direction. Thank goodness that got sorted out today after we met Prof Kwa about it. I believe she is equally as blur as us regarding this research. When we arrived at her door, she asked us who were looking for... Come on... your own research kaki also dunno? Real joke. Strokes.. sighs...
To add to the stroke tally today, it's been reported that the owner of Manchester United had a stroke last weekend.
I wonder what's with strokes. Never knew such a small word can play such a big role in a day.
