twentythree

It was already 1155pm. Since i live in a rather god-forsaken area in Seremban, the entire housing area was eerily quiet as usual. When it's that quiet, it's a good idea to just go thru your books as everything seems so much clearer and understandable. After going thru a chapter on bleeding disorders, my head was just thinking about blood, blood and only blood. With bats flying outside the house, it kinda sounds like some vampire movie. With my 2 housemates literally 'half-dead' after a gruelling day in the obstetric and gynaecological ward, it was dead silent. Before i could even turn to the next page on my book. Kaboom!!.. Some freagin loud explosion cancelled out the silence and sorta woke everyone up in the neighbourhood. For a moment, i thought Hiang Liang's amp went bust cos he probably forgot to turn it off after doing some bass drills. Suddenly, the sound of doors opening quickly as if there was panic in the atmosphere resounded upstairs. I was still wondering what the entire commotion was about upstairs. To add to the weirdness of the atmospere, there were sounds of kids singing. When i turned my head towards the stairs, i saw 2 topless lads carying a candle and a bag down. As blur as I was, i was still trying to figure out what these 2 lads were up to. Obviously they weren't on their way to the kitchen for their usual late nite maggi noodle escapades. I just gotta say that these 2 lads are the best housemates in the world. I'm just kinda dumbstruck as to how they managed to con me so easily. They told me they needed sleep but instead were inside their rooms plotting to surprise me on my 23rd birthday. It was one crazy plot but one of the best i've had or probably the best i've had since i hardly celebrate my birthday. Great stuff. Thanx to Hiang Liang and Dawson!!!

After getting that rather rude awakening from my 2 mad housemates, I woke up to the fact that i've already lived on this planet for 23 freagin years. Yup, 23 years... which is pretty short actually. I just wonder if i've been a good steward of the time i've had on earth so far. Hopefully i have, afterall, it's almost a third of a human's lifespan based on the current life-expectancy rates. I just hope i'll be able to fulfil God's plan for my life.

So far i've only gone to the point where i'm still stuck in Med school trying to grasp what medicine is all about. In the next few years, it'll be about taking time to be a vessel for God's use in hope that people may have better health. Besides academics and working life, there's just so many more factors to consider. Of course there's church and social life. I just hope i would have time to serve in church in the near future. I do realise that as the day of housemanship draws nearer, time for me to serve is becoming less and less to my dismay. I really enjoyed the days when i used to be able to call up my cg members to just ask how they were doing. Just serving each cg member was a special experience. I guess i just miss those times.

As of social life. Well, i seriously think i need to get a life. After starting clinical school, i've been pretty much ingrossed in what i do to the point where i hardly bother to socialise. At the moment, my only new friends are patients are meet everyday. It sounds kinda sad in some ways. To make things even 'happier' i'm usually stuck in the presence of guys which doesn't sound to right. Really no life man. Sometimes it gets kinda worrisome as i don't think i was like that before. And yes, i'm still single to the lads who have been asking me over and over again. Have I found someone yet? Seriously no idea dude. Am I going to find someone? Well... obviously the answer is yes but i dunno when. In God's timing. Just gonna keep my fingers crossed and be patient. Kinda distressing to think about social issues i guess. It's worse than doing a performing a per rectal examination in some sense. Yikes.

As for hopes i have so far, all i want to do now is to pass my freagin SEM 7 Exam!!!God-willing, He will give me the strength to do it. As for progress now, it's moving but at times sluggish. Either way, i just gotta be positive and trust in Him as He has always seen my thru the many circumstances i've faced. As for this year, i just hope it will be a good one. Definitely want to forget about the last one. No doubt about that.

Guess it's back to work. Adios!!
