Danielissimo

Another great weekend just passes by... KL rawks more than ever. The week before was superb as well. Witnessing surgical procedures one after another just really makes my interest in this field increase day by day. With really nice and friendly lecturers and staff in the surgical department so far, the entire experience has just been absolutely a blast. Though hours may be long and calls may go way into the night, the enjoyment of being able to do what you appreciate most just makes everything so much more worth it. Just hope things continue to be this good for the weeks ahead. SURGERY here we go!!

A weekend with the CG fellers was great as well. Though the lads plans to hit the bowling lanes didn't materialise, the crazy shouting and commenting on football matches out did everything. According to Christian, the lad in the DIGI advertisment sounds a lot like me... the one which goes.."Oi, i think my grandmother can kick the ball better than that la!" or sumthing like that. Still wondering if it's true. To add to the whackiness of the weekend, there was a power cut in my housing area for the entire Saturday afternoon. That pretty much left my studies hanging and me out to dry and scratch my head wondering what i should do. I guess my life is pretty mundane and boring. If i'm not studying, i'm probably staring at the wall doing nuts. Thankfully the power got back in the evening and studies resumes for a record 30 minutes. Woohoo! That was pretty long. A night out with at Marko's to watch the England V Portugal match was a great way to end the day. Portugal won and Ronaldo scored. That just made my day. Definitely a moment to be savoured. Kinda sorry for Marko and Hawc. The way Marko bowed down to the TV hoping Lampard will score was just too amusing to watch. Never imagined him doing something that mad just to see Lampard score.

Sundays are one of those days which leave you with mixed feelings. It's the beginning of a new week but the end of a weekend. To add to the paradox of things, technically we're supposed to be eager and enthusiastic about being able to enter into His presence again with our fellow lads and lasses in Christ. Unfortunately, I'm usually half asleep on Sunday mornings. Something I honestly admit. But... things weren't too bad today. Lotsa lads looked half dead thanks to a crazy world cup match between Brazil and France. Finally felt a sense of belonging. Haha. Anyways, the message preached was pretty relevant today. It is said that to live a life that is pure and undefiled seems almost impossible or maybe even impossible nowadays. Today's sermon by Pastor DB on Daniel was sure good and practical. I believe it makes a lot of sense especially being a Christian student of this day and age. After taking some time to reflect back on what Pastor DB spoke about, I kinda questioned myself on the many times i've let God down. The question of keeping myself pure and in the right state of things before God makes me feel really like crap as i've really messed up on so many occasions. I admire the way Daniel abided by God's priniciples in choosing not to defile himself although it was definitely not going to make many people happy during his time. I wish i had a stand like that, I am still hoping. I can only conclude that if i'm going a live a life that is pure and undefiled, i'm definitely gonna need Him more than ever. Something to think about for sure...

Aights.. it's Port Dickson Hospital tommorow morning. Gotta hit the sack. Adios!
