Fried Brains and Frayed Nerves

A-ba-re.. (Hello in swahili).. yups, that's the word for da day.. Today was a pretty decent day.. standard weekend.. nothin more, nothin less.. kinda glad i managed to digest some CVS.. still lost in a wilderness called ECG.. hopefully i get out of this nomadic state before i get even more lost in it.. darn.. Anyways.. the highlight of the day has to be the "business ethics of deperate businessmen and consumerism".. Ask yourself this question, Do u think trade in Malaysia is fair and honest as a whole?.. I think it's gonna be a 50/50 situation where some people will say yes and some say no.. but for those who say no.. i have finally been "enlightened" (the mentol lights up on top of my head) by why they would say no.. you see, if a lousy businessman can't get enough business to sustain his trade, he obviously becomes desperate.. how do u know if he's desperate?.. u'll probably see his business shrinking by the second till it just disappears like dust.. never to be remembered.. What will he do when he's desperate?.. he resorts in all kinds of unethical business strategies which unfortunately will see the downfall of his business empire.. Why am I bringing up this topic??.. Cos I think the some Malaysian business people are still living in the stone age and probably clobbering their fat heads to squeeze cash out of innocent people.. To cut the story short.. the lads were supposed to get some jerseys for our footie team and decided to get one from this particular store in KL.. luckily the lassses didn't buy theirs from this goblok.. i guess we jumped into conclusions to quickly and paid a "by law - refundable deposit".. later we got a better deal somewhere else.. so we decided to ditch the initial deal and get this new one.. so what happened??.. The feller doesn't want to refund us... I think he'll have to read this.. got it straight from the consumer affairs rights memorandum.. OPEN YOUR EYES DUDE.. If not, go buy a pair of Specs..

WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER ?
Under the Consumer Protection Act 1999, your rights granted cannot be taken away from you notwithstanding conditions in any agreement that you have signed.

As a consumer, you have the right to all the products and services of daily basic needs including food, clothing, health, education and house.

You are also protected from products, services and manufacturing processes that may expose your health and life to danger. The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs may publish in the Gazette a list of products considered unsafe to be sold and may then require the suppliers or manufacturers of the prohibited products to either recall the products, stop the sale and advertisements of the products, disclose to the public information relating to the characteristics which make the products unsafe, repair or replace the products or refund the purchasers.

To make the right choice, you have the right to obtain accurate and precise facts about the product and service that you want to consume. You can only act in a wise and responsible way if you are equipped with enough information. A supplier and manufacturer are prohibited to use misleading and deceptive conduct, false misrepresentation and unfair claims in selling the product or service to you.

Nobody can force you to buy a product or service. You have the freedom in buying or assuring that the product or service you need is obtained through the right channels, based on the right price.

You have the right to claim for damages from unfair practices from the supplier or manufacturer.

Well.. hopefully this is well understood.. and for the fact that he called us "stupid".. I think he should reevaluate his "emo" behaviour before he starts losing more customers.. bah.. who cares.. just hopes his business rots and dies like a rotting carcass.. yeah..

Okies.. i believe i have explained the ordeal that the lads have to go thru.. hopefully we settle this soon.. anyways.. The Edge Music Conference rawked big time.. A big applause to my boss up there for blessing us with a really great conference.. the worship sessions were awesome.. yeah.. u know like "AWESOME DUDE"..I never a song like "Fairest Lord Jesus" could sound so good..hmm... remixes on the decks??..ahah.. Well.. praise God for talents like these that are used for His glory.. Just hope we can continue to rave and bask in His presence like this every week...
